8 PCO Judges of LHC Get Early Retirement

LAHORE: As many as eight PCO judges belonging to Lahore High Court (LHC) have taken prior retirement.

Those judges took early retirement included Justice Molvi Anwar-ul-Haq, Justice Mian Najmuz Zaman, Justice Sakhi Bukhari, Justice M. Bilal Khan, Justice Fazal Miran Cohan, Justice Tariq Shamim, Justice Syed Asghar Haider and Justice Khalid Alvi.

It is worth of mention that Supreme Court (SC) issued contempt of court notices to Provincial Constitutional Order (PCO) judges, declaring oath taking under PCO illegal and illegitimate as per constitution of Pakistan.

Now, there have remained four PCO judges serving at LHC following the early retirement of 8 judges today.
