MUMBAI : Aamir Khan doesn’t seem to like making promotional visits to Delhi that begin and end in press conferences in hotels. Before the release of 3 Idiots, a movie about three post-grads that’s based on Chetan Bhagat’s book Five Point Someone, Aamir and the cast of the film are coming to Sri Ram College of Commerce in DU today.81e3cebf0college Aamir Khan to Promote ‘3 Idiots’ in College

In 2007, he came to Modern School because Taare Zameen Par, his movie about a dyslexic kid, was about to be released.

In 2008, he set up shop in Bengali Market, unpacked his own razor, and turned barber for a day to give Ghajini haircuts to Dilliwallahs.

Sharman Joshi and R Madhavan are accompanying him, and they’re going to be interacting with college students. Plus, says Aamir’s representative, the idea is to let media persons preview a song that’s going to be released in theatrical trailers this week – a college anthem called Sunshine.

Aamir and Vidhu Vinod Chopra, the producer of the film, wanted to hold the preview in DU because they’re both “very attached to the university,” according to the rep. “Aamir shot for RDB here, so he’s got a special attachment to DU, and Vidhu was once a student here and stayed at Jubilee Hall,” said the rep. SRCC principal PC Jain confirmed that the film’s team had the college authorities’ permission for the visit.
