Acting Chairman Of PSM Dismessed By Prime Minister

PAKISTAN, ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani on Thursday sacked the acting chairman of Pakistan Steel Mills (PSM), Rasul Bux Phulpoto.
The appointment of Phulphoto as acting Chairman PSM has been annulled by the PM Gilani as he was not taken into confidence by the Ministry of Industries and Production over the decision, a handout issued by the PM Secretariat reads.
Phulpoto was given the task to oversee temporarily the affairs of PSM following the Aug 18’s dismissal of then Pakistan Steel Mills chairman Moin Aftab Shiekh by PM Gilani for alleged corruption.
The PM had also ordered the Interior Ministry to investigate the matter and submit a report in Shiekh’s case.
