The Williams sister defeated Cara Black of Zimbabwe and American Liezel Hubber by 6-4, 6-3 in the final game being played at Melbourne. With today’s win the William sisters secured their second consecutive and fourth women’s double Australian Open title. The Australian title victory also meant that the William sister have now won 11 double Grand Slam titles to their names.
The Swiss Federer clinch a 6-2 6-3 6-2 victory over French Tsonga. Federer will now meet British star Andy Murray in Sunday’s final.
