Blast kills US soldier in Afghanistan

KABUL , Afghanistan News : A US soldier serving with the Nato force in Afghanistan died Tuesday following a bomb blast, the coalition said.

“An Isaf service member died as a result of an IED strike in southern Afghanistan today,” the International Security Assistance Force (Isaf) said in a statement, referring to the improvised explosive devices that are the number one killer of foreign soldiers battling a Taliban insurgency.

“The service member was from the United States,” ISAF said.
