Body found in Swift Creek near where woman disappeared

Investigators are trying to determine whether a woman’s body found today on a small island in Swift Creek is that of a Chesterfield County woman who vanished two months ago after leaving her workplace near the Appomattox River.

A boater discovered the body about noon near White Bank Park in Colonial Heights and contacted police. The area is just south of where Kelly Catalano, 40, was employed at the Blue Print Automation Plant in the 16000 block of Innovation Drive.
