ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Cabinet Approves Weekly Two offs for Industries, The federal cabinet approved Wednesday weekly two holidays for the industrial sector and gas load management plan for 2009-10 in its meeting that held here with Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani in chair.

The meeting that was also attended by the chief ministers of the provinces also discussed new sugar policy and paddy procurement in the 2009 Kharif season.

The cabinet also approved closure of CNG stations two days a week under new gas load management plan and decided that an uninterrupted gas supply to the textile industry will be assured in the winter season.

The meeting also decided to make sure countrywide sell of sugar at Rs 40/kg as per orders of Supreme Court of Pakistan, vowing to deal hoarders of the sweetener iron handedly.

Earlier, chief ministers of all the four provinces called on Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani and exchanged views over the gas load management and prevailing law and order situation in the country.
