Crackdown against black-marketers in Lahore
Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan:- On the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, crackdown against black-marketers is continuing. Commissioner Lahore Division, Khusroo Pervaiz Khan has told that 14 black-marketers were arrested during raids in bazaars and markets in Lahore city on Saturday, August 29 which included three shopkeepers selling sugar on high rates and 11 shopkeepers selling other edibles on high rates. Eight other black-marketers have been arrested in various cities of Lahore division. The administration has registered 146 FIRs against black-marketers while 95 have been challaned.
Commissioner Lahore Khusroo Pervaiz Khan said that crackdown against black-marketers would continue and no leniency would be shown to those who are creating problems for the people in sacred month of Ramazan through profiteering.
