EDB okays Rs.1271 bln export projects

ISLAMABAD: Aiming at promotion of export, the Export Development Board (EDB) has given green signal for 10 development projects worth 1271 billion rupees, Geo news reported Thursday.

This was decided in an EDB meeting held here with Federal Minister for Trade Makhdoom Ameen Fahim in chair.

Those projects given approval included General Subsidy Scheme worth of Rs.88.20 crore, establishment of London office of Pakistan Hosiery Manufacturer worth Rs.10.70 crore, establishment of fresh fruit processing center in Karachi worth Rs.88.80 crore.

Moreover, Rs.04.30 crore were allocated for Pakistan Horticulture Development Board Lahore, Rs.05 crore were allocated for Pakistan School of Fashion and Design and some other projects.
