CARDIFF: Pakistan’s under pressured team strived hard on Sunday to win the first Twenty20 against England but the bad fielding made it easy for the host team to grab an easy victory over Pakistan, SAMAA reported on Sunday.
Earlier,the match was delayed due to the sudden fall of rain. England won the toss and chose to field first.
Pakistan’s team remained under massive pressure after the recent match-fixing allegations by an allegedly interview of its opener, Yasir Hameed, by the News of the World.
Pakistan scored 126 for four wickets with Umar Akmal’s 35 runs top score. Shoaib Akhtar and Shahid Afrid took two wickets each.
England completed their targeted score in 18th over without any big trouble.
