KARACHI: The leader of PML-N and former chief minister of Sindh Syed Ghous Ali Shah said that President Asif Zardari made it clear that he is unable to try Musharraf because of some limitations.
In a statement issued from PML-N UK media cell, Ghous Ali Shah stated this during an Iftar dinner hosted in his honor.
Ghous Ali Shah revealed that Mian Nawaz Sharif during a meeting with President Zardari at his Raiwind residence last month asked president why he is not launch trial against Musharraf, as it is a will of 160 million people of Pakistan.
In reply, Asif Ali Zardari said he is unable to try Musharraf because of some constraints. Ghous Ali Shah, who was also present in the meeting quoted Zardari as saying.
He said it is a tragedy that President Zardari is avoiding to try dictator Musharraf who violated the constitution, used phosphorous bomb in Red Mosque, killed leaders like Akber Bugti, and spent millions of rupees to buy politicians. Zardari should tell the nation about the hindrances that prevented him to try Musharraf.
