LAHORE, Pakistan News: Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has said that Nawaz Sharif was working to strengthen democracy in the country, adding that the PML-N chief reposed trust in him.
During an interview to ‘Policy Matters’, a current affairs programme of TV, the Premier said Nawaz wanted all the institutions to work properly and within their ambit and did not want to derail democracy in the country. He said he wanted Nawaz to be elected in the Parliament and play his due role. Hailing the COAS, the PM said that he was a good professional, adding that he always supported democracy and supremacy of parliament. Gilani observed that US has been asked to stop the drone attacks forthwith and added that Pakistan has a clear stance on the issue.
