Wallington Test: Pakistan beat New Zealand to level series

New Zealand were comprehensively beaten by 141 runs on day four of the second cricket Test match against Pakistan at Wallington.
Ross Taylor was the only batsman to offer any resistance to the Pakistan bowlers with a work man like 97, while the next best with the bat was Daniel Vettori, who made 40. Iain O’Brien managed his highest test score, finishing as the last man out on 31 as the Black Caps were bowled out for 263.
They could only managed 99 runs in the first innings. Mohammad Asif was the leading wicket taker with five for 67 and he was assisted by Danish Kaneria, who grabbed three for 74. The three match series is now locked at 1-1 after New Zealand won the first Test by 32 runs. The 3rd and deciding game is scheduled for Napier starting on Friday.
