ICC World Cup 2011 Grouping announced
Groupings for ICC World Cup 2011 announced, International Cricket Council (ICC) Wednesday announced the groups for the 2011 World Cup to be held in the sub-continent, report said on Wednesday. India were placed in Group B along with South Africa, England and the West Indies. Netherlands, Ireland and Bangladesh were the other three teams in India’s group. While, Pakistan is staying in ‘Group A’ along world champions Australia, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, Kenya and Canada.
The groups were approved at the ICC executive board meeting in Johannesburg.
Group A: Australia, Pakistan, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, Canada, Kenya
Group B: India, South Africa, England, West Indies, Bangladesh, Ireland, Netherlands.
