Islamabad Police prevents suicide blast
ISLAMABAD, Pakistan News : The Islamabad police shot a suicide bomber at E-11 near the police check post at Margalla Road before he could blow himself up Sunday.
The suicide bomber dismounted a black double cabin car and shouted “Allah-u Akbar”, when the police shot him in the head and killed him.
The SHO, Altaf Khattak said that the bomb disposal squad was called just then which arrived immediately. They have defused the suicide jacket.
The driver of the car escaped and the Rawalpindi and Islamabad police is been alerted to look for him. The E-11 area has been cordoned off.
The Margalla Road is a sensitive area with a large residential area in its span and ending at the Red Zone.
