Karachi: Consensus Between MQM And PPP On LB Bill
The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Committee reached consensus on all issues relating Local Bodies (LB) Bill. Both parties have agreed to hold local body elections in three months. During the meeting it was also decided that both parties in future would resolve all issues through dialogues. The Amended Local Bodies Bill would be tabled in Sindh Assembly on Monday. According to Committee Government officers would be appointed as Administrators.
The meeting was held in Governor House Sindh. Rehman Malik, Farooq Sattar, Dr Sagir, Wasim Aftab, Faisal Sabzwari and Raza Haroon were present in the meeting.
Rehman Malik has dispatched his report related to the meeting to President Zardari. Prior to the meeting Rehman Malik called on Chief Minister Sindh Qaim Ali Shah to discuss the Amended Local Bodies Bill. ?
