Local Bodies System, Reconsideration Demanded By Altaf

LONDON: The Quaid Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Altaf Hussain has asked President Asif Ali Zardari for rethinking into the abrogation decision of Local Bodies System (LBS), Geo news reported.

The demand was made during the two leaders’ meet here in London on Thursday.

Talking to media after holding talks with president Asif Ali Zardari, Altaf Hussain said I have demanded president Zardari of reconsideration over the decision to repeal Local Bodies System (LBS).

He urged necessity of All Parties Conference (APC) over resolution to Balochistan issues meanwhile; two leaders also reiterated PPP-MQM’s resolve to keep the reconciliation process moving on.

Interior Minister Rehman Malik, who accompanied president Zardari on the occasion, said government is adding to the funds allocated for Balochistan province to minimize feelings of inferiority, lauding MQM’s support towards ruling leaders over their resolve to continue counterterrorism.
