Local Government Amendment Bill 2010 Passed by Punjab Assembly

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan News: The Punjab Assembly has passed Local Government Amendment Bill 2010 while opposition minister walked out of floor in protest. Senior Minister Raja Riaz said that after this bill, administrators would be appointed which will work under Punjab government. The House rejecting the decision of US court showed solidarity with Dr, Aafia’s family. Under the chairmanship of Speaker Rana Iqbal, Law Minister Rana Sanaullah presented the Local Government Amendment Bill 2010 in the House. Muhsan Lighari of PML-Q presented first amendment that it should be put on view till 15. It was proposed in the 2nd amendment that it should be handed over to Select Committee. Raja Riaz said that their members have reservation over the bill. But President Zardari directed to support the bill.
