MARIA.B. is Pakistan’s leading designer brand with a vast retail network providing a multiple range of affordable designer fashion for women. The eponymous brand was launched in 1999 with a vision to revolutionize and make accessible women’s retail in the country. It started after Maria’s graduation from the prestigious Pakistan Institute of Fashion Design (PIFD) where she was the school’s first Valedictorian in 1998. Since its inception, the MARIA.B. Brand has encapsulated designer sensibilities within an affordable label and continues to do so.

Revered for her irreverent approach towards fashion Maria B’s work has redefined what women aspire to wear. In a thriving fashion industry such as in Pakistan, not a lot of designers have managed to create a mass market along with a critically acclaimed fashion aesthetic. Maria B is one of the very few who has managed to create a massive following for her design aesthetic and turned her retail business into commercial success.

I regard myself as an entrepreneur as someone who’s artistic ability can be portrayed in everything that I do. History

In 1999, Maria B. ventured into the fashion industry with a small stitching unit in Lahore. It was after she graduated from the prestigious Pakistan Institute of Fashion Design (PIFD) where she was the school’s first Valedictorian in 1998. Today MARIA.B. is Pakistan’s most diverse designer fashion brand with prêt a porter, couture, formal wear, lawn, embroidered fabrics and cottons all within one affordable label. MARIA. B. also has one of Pakistan’s most extensive retail networks with 25 standalone outlets in 12 different cities across the country, while also exporting to 6 international destinations including India, UK, USA, Bangladesh, UAE and Qatar.
