MQM to protest against power tariff hike: Ghauri

KARACHI: Federal Minister for Ports and Shipping Babar Khan Ghauri Monday announced that Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) will protest against the rise in power tariff.

Talking to newsmen after addressing a press conference, Babar Ghauri said MQM parliamentarians will have their protest registered.

He said electricity is already expensive and further rise in power tariff will have an adverse impact on people’s dwindling purchasing power.

The Federal Minister said that Karachi Port Trust will dispatch tomorrow relief goods worth Rs3 million for Gwadar affectees of cyclone. The relief goods consist of edibles, medicines and tents.
