NATO Must Realize Pakistan Perspective: Gen Kayani

BRUSSELS, Pakistan News: Chief of the Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani on Wednesday urged the need to enhance cooperation between the Nato and Pakistan army in intelligence sharing department to achieve success in terror war.

He expressed these views while addressing the meeting of Nato Military Committee in Brussels. The defense chiefs of 42 countries took part in the meeting to exchange views on Afghanistan’ security situation.

Speaking on this occasion, Gen Kayani said: “Pakistan and Nato need to extend more cooperation in intelligence sharing department.”

He said that NATO needed to understand Pakistan’s strategy to root out terrorism from Swat and Malakand region.

Gen Kayani also emphasized the need to increase Pakistan’s role on the solution of Afghanistan issue.
