New Judges Appointed on Merit: CJP

LAHORE, Pakistan News: Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry said that the government tried to replay the actions of November 3. CJP said that Justice Sakib Nisar and Asif Khosa are heroes and they should be praised.
Addressing to a conference on Judicial Policy matters in Lahore, the CJP said that additional judges should not be thankful to anyone for their appointment; all the judges were appointed on merit. The CJP urged the newly appointed lawyers should consider themselves as answerable to Allah.
The CJP said making decisions is more difficult then practicing law. The CJP said that we can all commit mistakes while taking decisions however mistakes should be rectified. He also said that all judges must work according to the constitution.
