Pakistan Can Refuse Aid Under KLB: Clinton, U.S. Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton said Wednesday he was stunned to see the complaint about Kerry-Lugar bill in Pakistan, adding that Pakistan could refuse to take help if it wanted, there was no pressure on Pakistan to accept.
The U.S. Secretary of State faced tough questions about KLB drone strikes and during his meeting with top anchors and journalists from leading news channels. Mrs. Clinton said the United States intended pure KLB. To a question that the U.S. was conducting drone strikes despite a joint resolution against strikes in Pakistan’s Parliament, said that these things happen in war. Clinton said he was unaware of the recovery of U.S. personnel weapons in Islamabad. Praising the role of Pakistan army in the war on terror, she said Afghanistan had no army so at home. In response to a question whether the ISI should be led by a civilian or military, said “The fact that the ISI chief, must be competent and the best option.” Clinton also admitted that the failed policies of the Bush administration during the meeting.
Hillary Clinton said during the meeting that concerns about KLB among Pakistanis were due to misinterpretation. The anchors responded that the problem was a misunderstanding, but the policy, therefore, the policy needs revising. When Clinton was asked why Mexico had not Drones technology, she said that policies were under review in this regard.
