Pakistani Dead In India Jail, Body Recieve Today

KARACHI: Body of Jamal Khan, a resident of Karachi who died in Indian jail during custody, will be handed over to his family at Wahga Border on Friday, Aaj News reported.

Jamal Khan was arrested by the Indian force in 1991 during a raid when the 16-year old along with his friends was present in Muzzafarabad for vacations. In 1996, his family received a letter from him that he wrote while being in Jodhpur jail in India.

Jamal’s brother told the channel that his letters depicted that his brother was subjected to extreme torture during the arrest and he died because of the torture he received out of jail. He further raised his concerns over the delay from the Indian authorities in handing over the body and allowing the family to perform the burial.
