Peshawar Blast, 100 Kg Explosive Used
PESHAWAR: AIG Bomb Disposal Squad, Shafqat Malik informed newsmen that about 100 kg explosive material had been used in the blast in front of Askari bank which claimed six lives besides injuring scores of people.
Talking to newsmen here at the site of blast, AIG Shafqat Malik also disclosed that before detonation of explosive devise, a hand grenade was also hurled towards the bank.
The Bomb Disposal Squad expressed the suspicion that the suicide bomber was in the car that exploded with a big bang here on Saturday at busy Saddar Bazar.
He said mutilated body parts have been recovered which might be of the suicide bomber.
