Plea Filed In Supreme Court Against Judges’ Appointment
A petition has been filed in the Supreme Court challenging appointment of Justice Khalilur Rehman Ramday and elevation of two other judges to the apex court of late.
The petitioner argued in the application that Ramday’s appointment in the SC as an ad hoc judge is unconstitutional as the apex court could not send a summary in this regard before the concerned person’s retirement.
The applicant added that appointment of Justice Naseem Akhtar and Justice Ahmed Farooq as additional judges in the High Court is also unconstitutional, as both the judges were retired Session judges.
