4bf7a67f5epolls PM Gilani Rejects Rigging Accusations in Gilgit Baltistan PollsISLAMABAD, Pakistan: PM Gilani Rejects Rigging Accusations in Gilgit-Baltistan Polls, Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) and PML-Q walked out of National Assembly against the alleged rigging in Gilgit-Balitstan polls.
Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani said that there isn’t a single election in history of Pakistan which isn’t accused of being rigged. Addressing the National Assembly session PM Gilani said that it was a positive sign that all the political parties participated in Gilgit-Baltistan polls. PM maintained that it has become a custom to make noise about rigging. PM told that a bill would be tabled in NA to bring fair accountability on basis of the Charter of Democracy. “All the apprehensions of opposition will be removed,” PM assured. He said that there is a minor difference between accountability and revenge.
Earlier, PML-N and PML-Q protested against the alleged rigging in Gilgit-Baltistan polls.
