President Zardari Addressing For Balochistan Metter

PAKISTAN, ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has said that the government is taking measures on war-footing to integrate the people of Balochistan with the rest of the nation.
The President in a meeting with a delegation of PPP MNAs and Senators from Balochistan who called on him at the Presidency Wednesday said that special stipends would be given to the students of the province for admission in recognized academic institutions located in other provinces.

He said that the move will encourage the Baloch students to seek admissions in institutions of other provinces and thereby promote national integration.

The meeting was also attended by Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Ms Faryal Talpur, Minister for Water and Power Raja Pervaiz Ashraf and Minister for Interior Senator Rehman Malik.

Later, briefing the journalists about the meeting spokesperson to the President former Senator Farhatullah Babar said that President Zardari reiterated government’s commitment to resolve all issues relating to Balochistan and to address the grievances and sense of deprivation of the people of the province in the light of recommendations made by the Parliamentary Committee on Balochistan.

The President said that the recommendations of Parliamentary Committee on Balochistan will be given due consideration by the government to bring the province at par with other parts of the country and to improve the political, economic, administrative and law and order situation in the province.

The President said that various steps for the speedy socio-economic development of Balochistan were under way and expressed confidence that these initiatives would greatly help in addressing the concerns of the people of the province.
