Prime Minister chairs high-level meeting, on Waziristan expected

Lahore, Pakistan: A  meeting is underway under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani in the PM House in Islamabad in which law and order situation and Waziristan operation are being reviewed on Friday. According to sources, Army Chief General Pervaiz Kayani is briefing the participants about the Waziristan operation. It is expected the Waziristan operation will start in few days after the approval of the PM, sources revealed.

Finance Minister Shaukat Tareen, Information Minister Qamar Zaman Kaira, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Interior Minister Rehman Malik, Defence Minister Ahmad Mukhtar, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, MQM leader Farooq Sattar, PML-Q leader Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, Chairman Senate Raza Rabbani, ANP leader Asfandiyar Wali Khan, leader of the opposition in the National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar Ali, NWFP Governor and NWFP CM are also present in the meeting.
