Rana Sanaullah comment on statement of Ch. Pervaiz Elahi

Lahore, Pakistan:- Provincial Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs, Rana Sanaullah has said that the era of Ch. Pervaiz Elahi was not a symbol of progress and prosperity who plundered national resources during five years under the umbrella of a dictator. That was an era of lie and fraud during which paper projects were announced and it is fact that these projects were the symbol of commission and corruption, he added.

Expressing his reaction on the tall claims of Ch. Pervaiz Elahi with regard to good governance, Rana Sanaullah Khan said that the present government under the leadership of Khadim-e-Aala Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, has ensured provision of subsidized atta to the poor by giving subsidy of million of rupees throughout Punjab whereas during dictatorship era these funds were spent on the personal publicity of Pervaiz Elahi. He said that in the past ‘Para Likha Punjab’ programme was launched with the loan of billions of rupees from World Bank but this programme is nothing except to a hallo slogan. He said that Ch. Pervaiz Elahi has been appearing as a “model” on TV channels for five years for publicity of this programme terming it his dream and crores of rupees were spent on publication of advertisements in newspapers in the garb of this programme which aimed at his personal publicity. He said that Ch. Pervaiz Elahi mentions ‘Para Likha Punjab’ as his dream but it remains only a dream as no practical steps were taken in this regard. He said that thousands primary schools are still without class rooms and boundary walls whereas potable water and other basic facilities are missing in these schools.

Rana Sanaullah Khan said that present government has introduced revolutionary reforms in educational sector and best results of matric and intermediate examinations are proof of the fact that considerable improvement has been made in the standard of educational institutions in the present era. He said that in the past there was no one to look after the poor students but Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has awarded cash prizes worth lakhs of rupees to the position holder students in recognition of their talent and has given them due respect in the society.

Mentioning false claims of development, Rana Sanaullah said that Pervaiz Elahi and his companions were plundering the national wealth ruthlessly and people have rejected them in the previous elections. He said had the propaganda of development works of 117 billions rupees in the Southern Punjab true, Pervaiz Elahi would not have been defeated from Yazman.

Rana Sanaullah said if the previous rulers had done some work in social sector then the living standard of common man would have been improved definitely. He said that present government has inherited the crisis of atta, sugar and electricity from the previous government. He said that if the economic condition was so better during the rule of Ch. Pervaiz Elahi then their economic expert Prime Minister would not flee from the country immediately.
