SC resumes contempt case hearing
A seven-member bench of the Supreme Court headed by Justice Nasirul Mulk is hearing the NRO implementation case.
On Wednesday, Aitzaz Ahsan counsel of the Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani informed the bench that the Prime Minister sincerely believes that the President enjoys immunity. He maintained that the constitution gives complete immunity to the President in criminal cases both at home and abroad.
The court remarked that proceedings in the contempt of court would be stopped if proven that the president enjoys immunity.
