Security of nuclear assets very efficient, General Tariq Majid

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan News: The security system for the Pakistani nuclear assets is very efficient, said the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee Chairman General Tariq Majid Monday.

He said that the report published in the American circle is baseless.

“We do not need the help of any other country in protecting out nuclear assets,” he said. “We will not give out sensitive information related to our nuclear assets to any country.”

He also said that our security system has the ability to face any challenge. There is no need to consult any other country.

He said that the IEAE is to make dialogues with other countries possible for making the security system more efficient. This statement is probably made in reference to the conditions placed in the Kerry-Lugal bill regarding the nuclear assets of Pakistan. The bill had received serious criticism from the different political parties of Pakistan, as they deemed that the clauses directly assault the national sovereignty and is an American tactic to gain control of our nuclear assets.
