Three police cars have been shot at during a car chase in Sydney’s inner west, witnesses say.
Police say an operation is underway following an armed robbery and have blocked off part of Wardell Road in Dulwich Hill.
Onlookers have told the ABC that police rammed the car to stop it and two people were arrested.
A caller to 702 Drive says he heard four shots fired at police earlier in the afternoon.
“At the moment there is quite a couple of cops in the area, basically dressed in… combat gear, trying to get into some buildings around the area as well,” he said.
“They’ve basically just blocked off maybe three roads, three major roads.
