Six Buses Set On Fire In Lahore Protest
PAKISTAN LAHORE : Police carried out shelling and baton-charge on the protesters, who were demonstrating against the closure of wagon service, increase in fares and attitude of law enforcers. They also set on fire six buses.
Earlier, the transporters staged protest on Ferozepur road. The road closure affected many students who were unable to reach on time to appear in the matriculation exams. That also led to the protests by the students. The police carried out shelling and baton charged the demonstrators.
Later, the police became successful to scatter the protestors and cleared the road for traffic.
DCO Sajjad Bhutta reached the scene, ordering probe into the matter.
