Sugar mills violate judicial orders

KARACHI: The most of the sugar mills of Sindh are employing delaying tactics which is brazen violation of the judicial verdict, Geo News reported Sunday. Talking to Geo News, Imtiaz Ali Shah Sugarcane Commissioner of Sindh Department of Agriculture said the sugar mills of the province should have started providing the 30 percent of their stock at Rs36/kg. The majority of sugar mills including Shah Murad and An-Noor Sugar Mills are using delaying tactics in providing the commodity to the wholesalers

KARACHI: The most of the sugar mills of Sindh are employing delaying tactics which is brazen violation of the judicial verdict, Geo News reported Sunday.

Talking to Geo News, Imtiaz Ali Shah Sugarcane Commissioner of Sindh Department of Agriculture said the sugar mills of the province should have started providing the 30 percent of their stock at Rs36/kg.

The majority of sugar mills including Shah Murad and An-Noor Sugar Mills are using delaying tactics in providing the commodity to the wholesalers.

He said the attitude put up by the sugar mills is violation of judicial ruling.

Imtiaz Ali Shah further said 19 sugar mills of the province will start crushing by next week, adding five sugar mills have started crushing.
