Paula Abdul made a frantic and tearful 911 call during a Valentine’s Day drive with a boyfriend.

The call was made while Abdul was traveling as a passenger in a car on the 101 freeway near Santa Barbara, California. At one point Abdul tells the operator responding to the call, I want out of this car and he won’t let me.

According to TMZ, authorities contacted Abdul by phone an hour later and visited her home at night, but Abdul declined to file a police report. A rep for Abdul tells the website, Arguments with loved ones are often times heated.

The helpless former can not even lodge a complaint against Taj Sarwar as he is an influential person.

Militants storm house of former nazim, killing one

PESHAWAR: Taliban militants barged into the house of slain former union nazim, Abdul Malik, in Peshawar and opened indiscriminate fire, killing one person.

According to police, one person was killed in a late-night gun attack at the house of Malik’s house in Peshawar.

The deceased, Abdul Malik, was the chief of a peace lashkar.

Police is yet to confirm the identity of the dead person.

PCB Should Remove Insecurity Of Players, Abdul Razzak

The hero of 2nd ODI between South Africa and Pakistan Abdul Razzak demanded the removal of insecurities of players. He played lovely inning and got single handed victory for Pakistan. He scored 109 runs in 72 balls. He played shots in all corners of the ground and South Africans were looking effortless in front of his shots.

Razzak said if the player constantly thinking of his drop out from the team after bad performance then he will not able to score runs. Pressure must be removed from players mind if PCB wants them to play good cricket.

Razzak played at different positions in the ODI team. He misses out from the team and then he joined disputed ICL and was banned by PCB. He later got NOC and came back in the team. He said that he has not been utilized as batsmen as his batting potential made him a good batsman. He said that he can provide good results to Pakistan if utilized properly in last five to six years.

He showed his class in T-20 matches against England and in the second ODI he played the best inning of his life.

Federal Minister for Defence Production Abdul Qayyum Jatoi has vowed to confront any conspiracy against democracy.
Speaking at a press conference in Quetta, Abdul Qayyum Jatoi castigated the chief justice and also slated hearings of fake degree cases.
He also said that Pakistan Peoples Party would not deter from Army intervention and opined that everyone has an equal right for corruption.
Senior Analyst Mujibur Rehman Shami while talking to Dunya News said that Qayyums statements were unfortunate. He strongly condemned his criticism of the Chief Justice.

Pakistan draw level against England with a 38-runs win in the fourth ODI. England in chase of a total of 266, were bowled out on 227. Magical Gul waved his wand again and took 4 wicket in the nail-biting moments of the game and Abdul Razzaq for his vital contribution of 44 was awarded man-of-the-match.
Pakistan scored 265 for seven from their 50 overs in the fourth one-day international against England at Lord’s. Pakistan reached 265 for 7, an innings lit up first by Shahid Afridi and then by Abdul Razzaq and also dominated by Graeme Swann, who claimed 4 for 37 in a superb display of offspin. Mohammad Hafeez remained top scorer with 64, followed by a blistering innings of Abdul Razzaq who scored 44 on just 20 balls. Fawad Alam and Kamran Akmal made 29 and 28 respectively.
English captain Strauss top scored 68, Steve Davies fall prey to Ajmal on 49, Bell 27 and Morgan 28. No other batsman made a countable contribution from English side.Five match series have now tied 2-2. Decider will played on Wednesday.

10 Taliban taken off UN terror list: Austrian

UNITED NATIONS: Ten Taliban members and 35 Al-Qaeda members and affiliates have been removed from a UN sanctions terror list after its first exhaustive review of 488 names, Austria”s UN ambassador announced Monday.

“As a result of the review of 488 names, 45 were delisted,” Thomas Mayr-Harting, the chair of the UN Security Council panel that maintains a blacklist of individuals and entities linked to Al-Qaeda and the Taliban, told reporters.

He said those removed, following requests from governments, include 10 individuals who had been associated with the Taliban as well as 14 individuals and 21 entities linked at some point to Al-Qaeda.

Individuals on the list are subject to asset freezes, a travel ban and an arms embargo.

Mayr-Hartin said 433 names — 132 Taliban and 311 from Al-Qaeda — were confirmed on the list, though a final decision for 66 among them is still pending.

Last week, five of the 10 Taliban removed from the list were named as Abdul Satar Paktin; Abdul Hakim Mujahid Muhammad Awrang, a former Afghan envoy to the UN; Abdul Salam Zaeef, author of “My life with the Taliban;” and two officials who are now deceased.

No LB polls in current year: Thahim

KARACHI: Federal Minister for Local Government and Rural Development Abdul Razzaq Thahim said Local Bodies (LB) elections would not be organized in current year.

Talking to media in Sindh Secretariat, Thahim said Election Commission will hold local bodies elections in accordance with 18th amendment, however, Election Commission is yet to be structured. He said four retired judges should be appointed with chief Election Commissioner to complete Election Commission structure, he added.
