First Victory Of Pakistan At Mclean Park, At last green shirts celebrated the joys of victory at Mclean Park, Napier by beating New Zealand 2 wickets in the ground which was considered as fear for green shirts and got lead of 2-1 in the series. This was the fifth time when Pakistan team played one-day match on this ground but four times they have to face defeats. This is the first time when Pakistan scored more then 200 runs and Misbah-ul-Haq became the top scorer from green shirt side in Mclean Park.
Pakistan played its first one-day match at this ground in 1981 but can just score 167 runs and faced a defeat of 110 runs. In 1992 tour the fate was same again, whole team can only 136 runs, and faced a defeat of 6 wickets. In 2001 black color once again got victory over green and beat them by 6 wickets again, the total of Pakistan team was135, in this match all-rounder Abdul Razzak became the first player from their side who scored a fifty at this venue. In 2004-05 tour Pakistan team once again batted first and can just score 126 runs Kiwis beat guest side by 8 wickets. On first February 2011, Pakistan deviates from the tradition by beating black shirts.
New Zealand wins the toss and elected to bat first. The top order batsmen make captain’s decision wrong. And first 5 batsmen went back to pavillain on just 79 runs. Middle order and lower middle order batsmen play seasonably. Brendon Mccullum and James Franklin scored 37 and 62 runs respectively. Nathan McCullum scored his debut fifty and went back to pavillain after making 53 runs. Kiwi total was 262/7 at end of limited number of over. Wahab Riaz was prominent bowler from Pakistani side who took 3 wickets.
The hero of Pakistani side was Misbah-ul-Haq who scored unbeatable 93. He batted very sensibly and played beautiful strokes all over the ground. Younis Khan scored 42 runs and set a partnership of 89 runs with the Test captain. Abdul Razzaq scored 30 precious runs and made a partnership of 40 runs with Misbah. Sohail Tanveer hit 3 boundaries and made victory for the guest side. Misbah-ul-Haq was named as Man of the Match.
PCB Should Remove Insecurity Of Players, Abdul Razzak
The hero of 2nd ODI between South Africa and Pakistan Abdul Razzak demanded the removal of insecurities of players. He played lovely inning and got single handed victory for Pakistan. He scored 109 runs in 72 balls. He played shots in all corners of the ground and South Africans were looking effortless in front of his shots.
He demanded to remove the threat of missing out from the game as it is unproductive. Razzak said if the player constantly thinking of his drop out from the team after bad performance then he will not able to score runs. Pressure must be removed from players mind if PCB wants them to play good cricket.
Razzak played at different positions in the ODI team. He misses out from the team and then he joined disputed ICL and was banned by PCB. He later got NOC and came back in the team. He said that he has not been utilized as batsmen as his batting potential made him a good batsman. He said that he can provide good results to Pakistan if utilized properly in last five to six years.
He showed his class in T-20 matches against England and in the second ODI he played the best inning of his life.

Abdul Razzak gets single handed victory for Pakistan. He scored 109 runs not and gets famous victory for Pakistan with 1 ball spare. He also scored most runs for 7th wicket by Pakistan. When he came to bat Pakistan was in trouble as they lost well going Shahid Afridi. At that time he batted sensibly and secures his wicket to play shots at the end of the inning.
He is really the hero for Pakistan in the 2nd ODI against South Africa in Dubai. He played 72 balls for his 109 runs and hit 10 sixes and 7 fours. It was really a fantastic inning in the difficult situation. Pakistan team was looked down after losing five wickets but Razzak returned them their pride.
Shahid Afridi played aggressive inning in the middle and scored 49 runs on 40 balls. When he got out Pakistan’s score was 136 for 5 wickets. Fawad Alam also played sensibly and secured his wicket. He along with Razzak took Pakistan’s total to 217 runs before he got out.
Razzak didn’t panic even seeing wickets falling on the other end. He also denied many singles and retained the strike. All hits made by Abdul Razzak stayed connected and resulted in maximum. He surely was the man of the match. Series is now leveled with 1-1.
Pakistan Sets 242 Runs Target For England In 3rd ODI
In the third ODI Pakistan won the toss and chose to bat first on the pitch that was looking good for batsmen. The start from Pakistan side was not good as early wickets hit Pakistan side badly. Pakistan made change in team and put Abdul Razzak in the team in place of Muhammad Irfan. Muhammad Hafeez was the man who got out after scoring 1 run and in the next over Kamaran Akmal was got out.
Muhammad Yousaf also unable to perform and got out early in his inning. Young batsmen Asad Shafiq and Fawad Alam stabilized Pakistan inning and both put together 64 runs. After Asad got out on 40 Umar Akmal early departures put pressure on Pakistan side.
Shahid Afridi was looking good on the wicket and he also played some handsome shots but he was run out when he was required by his team. Ball hit his bat and diverted to wicket. Fawad Alam got out after scoring 64 runs. Razzak was looking good in the end of the inning but he also fall a trap of England strategy and got catch out on boundary. In the 50th over Pakistan were all out on 241 and sets 242 runs target for England.
Court acquits 9 accused of suicide attacks
An Anti-Terror Court in Rawalpindi on Thursday has acquitted nine men accused of planning two deadly attacks on security targets, including one which killed Surgeon General Lt Gen Mushtaq Baig.
A suicide bomber killed Lt Gen Mushtaq Baig with seven others in February 2008. He is the most senior military official to be killed since 2001. Just weeks earlier, several employees of the intelligence agency were killed in a suicide attack on a bus.
But the judge said there was not enough evidence. The men pleaded not guilty. The 2008 suicide bombings left 16 people dead and wounded dozens more.
Due to lack of evidence, no charges can be proved against the accused, judge Malik Akram Awan said in the anti-terrorism court in Rawalpindi on Thursday.
But the court said the men would be held in preventative custody at home because they are still under investigation. The public prosecutor, Bilal Ahmed, told they produced several witnesses and lots of evidence.
Ahmed said that those acquitted included the alleged ringleader, Dr Abdul Razzak, an employee at a local government hospital, who was charged in both cases.
Army Gen attack case: Suspects acquitted over lack of evidence
RAWALPINDI: An anti-terrorism court on Thursday acquitted nine persons allegedly involved in the 2008 suicide attack on Lt. General Mushtaq Ahmed Baig due to lack of evidence.
Eight people were killed, including Surgeon Lt General Mushtaq Ahmed Baig, on February 25, 2008 when a suicide bomber blew himself up in the limit R A Bazaar Police Station in Rawalpindi.
The special court No II judge Raja Akhlaq acquitted nine men namely Dr Abdul Razzak, Muhammad Nadeem, Muhammad Naeem, Muhammad Rizwan, Muhammad Ilyas, Muhammad Sarfaraz, Zeshan Khalik, Faisal Ahmed and Osama Nazir as police failed to produce sufficient evidence against them.
PCB Announces World Twenty20 Squad
Pakistan has announced a 15-member squad for the upcoming World Twenty20 tournament to be played in the West Indies.

Chief selector Mohsin Khan announced the squad at National Stadium Karachi and informed that naming a captain “is the domain of the PCB chairman (Ijaz Butt)” who will name the skipper later.

Naeem Islam guides Bangladesh home in final ODI
Bangladesh won the fifth and final ODI at Chittagong by just one wicket and one over to spare. Chasing 222, the Tigers kept Zimbabwe interested in the game all the while by losing wickets at regular intervals. In the end, it needed an unbeaten 73 (from 90 balls with 4 fours and 4 sixes) from Naeem Islam at no.8 to win the match for the homeside. Bangladesh have clinched the series 4-1 with that.
Earlier Zimbabwe got to 221 out of nowhere thanks to a brilliant century from Brendan Taylor after they were asked to bat first by Shakib Al Hasan. Naeem Islam got the Man of the Match award and Abdul Razzak picked up the Player of the Series award.
