MUMBAI: In the upcoming film of Abhishek bachchan ‘Dum maro dum’ ,actress Deepika Padukone will be performing an item song.
It will the first item number of deepika. Film dum maro dum has abhishek and bipasha in the lead role. Its not bips, but Deepika who was selected for the song. The song will be a promotional number.
Deepika wasn’t even in talks with Rohan regarding the ‘Dum Maro Dum’ item song. Rohan Sippy was considering other names then Deepika was suggested. She was selected unanimously.
The song will be a scintillating item number having have a contemporary and extremely urban feel in it. Pritam is remixing the song. The song will be shot next week.
Dum maro dum is a remake of Amitabh’s famous zanzeer film. Rohan sippy is the director of the film. Its a 2011 release.
Fox postpones Abhishek Bachchan starrer to add more zing to his role

Who says Raavan created a dent? It’s raining Abhishek starrers at the box-office. In the next six months, Abhishek Bachchan has three big releases lined up, two of them before 2010 is done.
The latest buzz is that Abhishek’s pal Rohan Sippy’s Dum Maro Dum has been postponed from December to April would have a lot more of the Junior B than originally planned.
Says a source, “Abhishek’s role in Dum Maro Dum of a cop on a drug-busting mission in Goa has distinct shades of his dad’s career-turning role as a cop settling scores in Zanjeer. Since both Junior Bachchan and director Rohan Sippy are huge fans of the Big B, Abhishek’s role in Dum Maro Dum will now be a full-on homage to the irate cop’s cleansing of corruption in Zanjeer.”
Apparently, the action sequences which were the forte of Zanjeer are now being strengthened in Dum Maro Dum. With two back-to-back Abhishek Bachchan starrers Ashutosh Gowariker’s Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey and Abhinay Deo’s Game scheduled for this year, Fox Star Studios have pushed their Abhishek starrer Dum Maro Dum to April 2011, although the film is nearly complete.
In fact, the studio whose maiden attempt at cracking Bollywood in My Name Is Khan showed impressive results, decided to squeeze in another quickie Khichdi to keep Fox’s kitchen in India running until the next post-Khan biggie had a free-way for a smooth run.
Serving up Khichdi served up a dual purpose. It provided an easily identifiable comic connectivity with the audience. And television actors had all the time in the world to give to the film, as the serial had closed down two years ago.
Confirming that Dum Maro Dum had indeed been pushed to next year to accommodate the other two Abhishek starrers, Fox Star Studio’s CEO Vijay Singh says, “We are going to complete the film this month. But we’ll hold on to it till April 2011. There’s no point in cluttering the market with three Abhishek Bachchan starrers. However Khichdi was not a stop-gap film for us. Much thought had gone into producing it.”
Singh is proud that Khichdi is the first large-screen adaptation of a television series in India. “We released it with as many as 400 prints across the country. For us it was not a small film at all. And it was certainly not a stop-gap project meant to absorb the delay in the release of Dum Maro Dum.”
John, Abhishek in the running for same role in Meghna Gulzar’s Milte Hain

The Dostana boys Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham are both up for the same part for a film. Neither actor seems inclined to say no. Not when two very special ladies are asking.
Abhishek Bachchan is being made an offer he can’t resist…not for long anyway. He has been asked by two of his most favourite girl pals – Vidya Balan and Meghna Gulzar – to play the lead in Milte Hain, the film featuring Vidya Balan that Meghna is directing for producer Sanjay Gupta.
Apparently, Gupta has met John Abraham for the same role. But the two ladies are hell-bent on Abhishek doing the role.
Says a source, “Abhishek’s mother Jayaji and Meghna’s father Gulzar Saab go back a long way. Jayaji calls Gulzar Saab her ‘Bhai’. Abhishek treats Meghna like a sister. There’s no way he can say no to her. On top of this, there’s Vidya who has repeatedly expressed a desire to work with Abhishek after Paa. It’s unlikely that Abhishek can say no to two such persuasive ladies.”
There is a new twist in the tale, though. Apparently, the producer Sanjay Gupta has met John Abraham for the same part. And let’s not forget, John is an old buddy of Vidya too from the time they did Salaam-E-Ishq together.
Is Gupta keener on Abhishek than John for the part?
Says Gupta, “Yes I’ve met John for a part. Beyond that I am not revealing anything. Abhishek too is very dear to me. I leave the decision on whom to sign to Meghna.”
Last heard Abhishek had apparently shown a keen interest in Milte Hain. John’s loss is Abhishek’s gain?

Paa Movie Review, Amitabh Bachchan, Bollywood mega star of his film “PAA” will be released am to 4 December 2009. We’ve seen it do all sorts of roles, but this time comes in completely different version of it. Paa highly anticipated movie will definitely get a good response from viewers.
Paa is the story of a smart-13 year-old boy Auro played by Amitabh Bachchan, who has a rare disease progeria, a genetic disease that shows signs of aging at a very young age. Critically acclaimed actress, Vidya Balan played the mother of Auro while the role of the father played by amol Auro Art (Abhishek Bachchan). Abhishek is a politician who tried to show the world that politics is not that dirty as you think about it. Auro Vidhya lives with her mother (Vidya Balan). Paresh Rawal is playing the role of Amol’s father Art (Abhishek Bachchan).
For the trailers and promotions need to understand the most important part of the film is make-up, Christien Tinsley and domain until they have done a wonderful job for a 66-year-old Amitabh looking 13-year-old boy. The film is produced by AB Corps. Ltd, and while no doubt made to revive the house ABCL banner. The ratio of union of love beautifully shown in the film by the director.
