American Idol: Adam Lambert And Kris Allen on Billboard

American Idol: In the case of Adam Lambert, it was hardly a plummet at all. his “Whataya want from Me” slid backwards one spot after peaking at #24 last week. this could merely be a one-week bump for Adam, as the majority of his public appearances over the course of the past seven days have been on the other side of the world. however, he is going to have to compete with newer songs that are getting a massive bump thanks to digital sales.
Kris Allen, meanwhile, nearly slipped out of the top 20 with “Live like We’re Dying.” after spending last week in the #18 spot, Kris is now resting at #20. considering that his single has been around longer than Adam’s (and he has also been the beneficiary of plenty of airplay), this could very well mean the end for the singer until he decides to release a follow-up single (which I’m betting will be “Before we come Undone”).
Both Adam Lambert and Kris Allen are in unfamiliar territory on the Billboard Hot 100 Thursday — their current singles each fell on the chart after several consecutive weeks of improvement. while neither “American Idol” alum saw a substantial drop, it could mean that their songs have peaked for the time being.

Adam Lambert AMA Controversy video, Adam Lambert admits he got carried away with his sexually charged American Music Awards performance, but he’s offering no apology.
He also said there were other “adult” moments on the show that caused no outrage.
“I admit I did get carried away, but I don’t see anything wrong with it,” he said Wednesday. “I do see how people got offended and that was not my intention. My intention was to interpret the lyrics of my song and have a good time with it.”
Lambert kissed a male keyboard player and had a dancer simulate oral sex on him while performing “For Your Entertainment,” a song with a sexual edge. ABC received many complaints about the performance and that network’s morning show, “Good Morning America,” canceled Lambert’s scheduled appearance on Wednesday because it said it couldn’t trust what he would do.
