Sharon Stone Kisses Kathy Griffin at 2012 AARP Movies for Grownups Awards

TrendPK.com: This week’s 2012 AARP Movies for Grownups Awards brought out many of Hollywood’s brightest luminaries — including Meryl Streep, Glenn Close, Martin Scorsese, Kenneth Branagh, Janet McTeer, Alexander Payne and still hot Sharon Stone — adding to the elegant event’s distinction as an Awards Season Must. As the New York Times put it, it seems that “the Movies for Grownups had finally, well, grown up.”
We applaud AARP’s persistent efforts toward breaking through the wall of ageism. Making those efforts in the ageism capital of the world — Hollywood — is particularly noteworthy. Here, ageism is not only accepted, it’s not only embraced, it is clung to with a ferocity that speaks of barely-hidden terror. (Think Demi Moore.) However, with the graying of the Baby Boom generation and other factors making moviegoers of age 50 and up increasingly important to box office revenue, more filmmakers and stars will be reaching out to the mature crowd. Next, we’d like to see Movies for Grownups on television.
Speaking of the TV side, the standard ratings classifications are archaic statistically — like using a mortar and pestle when you have a Cuisinart, with today’s technology offering far more sophisticated and meaningful data crunching capabilities. (David Poltrack, Chief Research Officer of CBS Corp. has long been trying to educate people about this.) And yet, we continue to see the phrase “the coveted 18-49 demographic” over and over and over again. (Lazy TV writers really should come up with at least one or two different adjectives besides “coveted.”) Networks and media continue to quote only the ratings for viewers under age 50. Yet the 55-plus audience reportedly reached 33 per cent of the adult population last year. In 2015, it’s expected to reach 36 per cent. That’s a heck of a lot of ignoring.

Britney Spears allegedly planning a summer wedding
TrendPK.com: Britney Spears is newly engaged to Jason Trawick, and it sounds like they could become husband and wife as soon as sometime this summer.
It is rumored that Spears and Trawick are planning an easy, intimate, even possibly a destination wedding for late this summer, states RadarOnline.com. The wedding will reportedly only include family and very close friends, along with her sons who will allegedly be involved in the ceremony.
However, before she gets married, she reportedly has some legal matters she wants to resolve first.

Tabu to play Irrfan Khan’s mother in Life Of Pi
By now its common knowledge that Irrfan Khan and Tabu would be seen together in internationally acclaimed filmmaker Ang Lee’s ambitious project Life Of Pi. However, what is surprising or rather shocking is the fact that Tabu would be playing the role of Irrfan’s mother in the film.
Life of Pi is the story of self-discovery of Piscine Molitor ‘Pi’ Patel and is based on the Booker Prize winning novel of the same name. While 17 year old Delhi boy Suraj Sharma would be playing the role of the young Pi, Irrfan Khan would be seen playing the adult Pi.
It may be recalled that Irrfan and Tabu were cast as husband-wife in Mira Nair’s The Namesake, a film which won international appreciation. It would now be interesting to see how the audience takes to Tabu playing Irrfan’s mother in Life Of Pi.
Sin City inspiration for Allah Ke Banday
There is Hollywood inspiration for Bollywood’s very own Allah Ke Banday which is aiming for a late October release. Since the film is a gritty tale of children taking to crime, it required an edgy narrative for itself. While debutant writer-director-actor Faruk Kabir promises that and a lot more in his dramatic affair, he has also created a graphic music video to lend out the right mood and feel of the film. The song is titled ‘Maula’ and has been self confessedly designed on the same lines as Hollywood’s graphic tale Sin City (2005).
“‘Maula’ is a visual interpretation of reality and through this song, I am giving a visual treat to my audience”, says Faruk who has patiently waited for a while before his debut flick became a reality by itself, “My target audience is youth and being a 28 year old myself, I am a part of this generation. I am making a contemporary film about today and for that I have lend an edgy hardcore energy to it. The music video of ‘Maula’ has a lot of attitude to it and for that the graphic tone of Sin City came in handy.”
When released, Sin City had met with instant diverse reactions due to the graphic nature of violence and sex. The film, though carrying a comic undertone to it, was mainly for the adult segment of audience and went on to become a cult flick over a period of time. In fact it stands amongst one of the most studied movies of all times and had led to quite a few cheap imitations globally with far lesser success.
“Ours is a tribute to that genre though”, Faruk is quick to add, “You would see a distinct (Quentin) Tarantino touch to it, something which was a conscious approach. Of course the video is quite real and disturbing so it has to be seen with caution. I don’t mind that though; after all it was intentional.”
Making of this video was a challenge in itself for Faruk and his team, more so because Faruk is playing the double role of a director and actor here.
“The whole video has been shot on croma where we have created the entire backdrop pretty meticulously”, informs Faruk, “The video features Sharman and myself. Technically, it was a very challenging exercise and the song took around six months to be totally ready. While three months went into pre-production, the same amount of time went into post production as well.”
While Chirantan Bhatt has scored music for this song, Sarim Momin has written the lyrics. However, this is not the only music video that Faruk has shot for his flick. “That’s right”, says Faruk, “We have shot another music video with Kailash Kher. It is an association with UNICEF. This one took its own time to be done since it features children.”
Whoever said that it was a child’s play to make a film!

Latarian Milton became a newz buzz in 2008 when he stole his grandmother’s SUV and went joyriding with a friend. But that was not the first time in September he was involved in a Walmart public scandal when he threw chicken fingers at her grandmother. Laterian Milton was then taken to a mental institution for evaluation.
The kid was also seen using cigarettes and in various instances tried to imitate the actions of Hoodrats.

Hoodrats are those who usually cause trouble on the streets and originate in London. They are also known as Rudeboys/girls. Some of their common actions are robbing people and stabbing them.
Now what about The Boondocks Season 3? Latarian Milton will be appearing on The Boondocks Season 3 Episode 6 though it is a spoofed character named Lamilton Taeshawn. This character will bring trouble to Riley, one of the major characters. The episode is entitled “Smokin With Cigarette”. The episode will air tonight on Adult Swim at 11:30 PM ET

Former Vice President Al Gore and wife, Tipper, have announced that they are separating after four decades of marriage.
In an email sent by the couple to friends, reported by several news organizations Tuesday, they said they had come to “a mutual and mutually supportive decision that we have made together following a process of long and careful consideration.”
For years, the Gores had publicly portrayed their marriage as strong. A long kiss shared by the pair on stage at the 2000 Democratic National Convention, as Mr. Gore was about to accept his party’s nomination for president, was widely discussed during the remaining weeks of the campaign. 
The couple also cowrote a book on family life, published in 2002, entitled “Joined At The Heart.”
After his years in Washington and unsuccessful bid for the presidency in 2000, Mr. Gore became a climate change campaigner and won a Nobel Peace Prize in 2007 for his efforts. He is the cofounder of chairman of Generation Investment Management, a sustainable investment firm, and Current TV, a network based on viewer-created content.
The Gores lived together in Nashville, Tenn., and have four adult children and three grandchildren.

The Boondocks season 3 episode 5 called “Stinkmeaner 3: The Hateocracy” which was directed by Sung Dae Kang and written by Aaron McGruder aired last night on Adult Swim.
Last night The Boondocks proved once more why they are called one of the most controversial and political cartoons on television.In this new installment Stinkmeaner’s crew which was inspired by the characters Fred Sanford, and Aunt Esther from Sanford & Son and JJ from Good Times decided that it was time to avenge his death by hunting down the Freemans to beat the day light out of the family.Sunday’s episode also enabled to viewers to enrich their brains with a session in Ni*ga Synthesis and Hateocracy.
last night’s episode began with Granddad having a bad dream. In his dream, multiple clones of Colonel H. Stinkmeaner were attacking the main characters of the show, with many of them getting mauled by the Stinkmeaners.
Granddad then woke up, to see both Riley and Huey staring at him because they had noticed that he had had a bad dream. The episode then turned to narration, with Stinkmeaner being the narrator. Stinkemeaner’s crew then decide to avenge his death.
To do this, they began hunting down the Freemans. They start by showing up at Uncle Ruckus’ gas station, where is he in the process of throwing darts at a picture of President Barack Obama. A fight then ensued, and Uncle Ruckus was assaulted.

Synopsis of the episode: The Freemans are in trouble when Stinkmeaner’s gang decide to come after them in retaliation for his death.

The Stars of the Prince of Persia film attended the world premiere in London on Sunday night. The film is based on the video game.
Set in Persia it centres around Prince Dastan played by Gyllenhaal who has to fight to clear his name and on his travels he meets a mysterious Alamut princess called Tamina played by Gemma Arterton.
Last night, I was one of the privileged members of the audience of a very special show. I call it a show as the new Westfield shopping centre in London played host to an extravaganza of multiple forms of talent. Not only were the cast of the new Disney Movie, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time there, 
they also had a parkour (free-running) team called 3Run who put on a spectacular show.Bear in mind that this was the first premire that was held at Westfield since Iron Man 2 was cancelled a couple of weeks ago due to the Ash Cloud.
he film may be been The Prince Of Persia, but it was the fairytale princess who stole the show.
Gemma Arterton’s nude coloured Valentino ballgown, embroidered with thousands of silver beads, dazzled the crowd.
Teamed with a severe side parting in her dark hair, and lashings of red lipstick, Gemma looked quite the Hollywood movie star.

Cheyenne Cinnamon and the Fantabulous Unicorn of Sugar Town Candy Fudge is newly animated television series which is created by Dave Willis who was also created Adult Swim staples Aqua Teen Hunger Force and Squidbillies, go on air on Cartoon Network ’s late night programing block.
The voices features nerdcore rapper mc chris, Dana Snyder, Frannie Hood (Kristen Schaal’s alternate billing credit), and Neko Case.
Basic theme is , Cheyenne Cinnamon is a blond, bosomy pop star located outside Detroit who on air the power of appealing} look, positive attitude, dancing moves, and simply midriffs to solve people’s issues.
With complete essence} abuse problems and little respect for anything beyond her demands, Cinnamon is to a greater extent villain than heroine. She |being the extremes of {celebrity|fame} narcissism and abjection.
Cinnamon’s role is an anonymous teenage girl (played by Schaal, credited as Hood). She has been knocked up by her married softball coach and her negligent parents (voiced by Snyder and Rachel Dratch) wont help her.
A fan of Cinnamon’s, the girl is initially excited to have the pop star direction. But she finds that all Cinnamon onlly offer her is a series of sang platitudes and a lot of cocaine. Sooner the girl delivers the baby. Cinnamon inquires if she helped the girl while exposing naked in presence of a producer to create the song she sounds sexier.
She convince herself that she doesn’t require drugs to be a self-propelling} person.
Cinnamon and her lover are white and blond, though the teen’s has black roots and |seems} to be working class. Yet, some of the people on Cinnamon’s list are African American or known as black, which including back-up dancers, producer Big Chocolate Bunny (voiced by MF Doom), and security guard Gingerbread Bouncer (played by T-Pain).
The show, the full name of which is “Cheyenne Cinnamon And The Fantabulous Unicorn Of Sugar Town Candy Fudge” had to race against pretty strong contenders like “Yappy Broads,” which is actually a parody of the popular “View.” There were also “Southies” and the “Soul Quest Overdrive,” also an animated show, which lost out the position of airing their pilot episodes to “Cheyenne Cinnamon And The Fantabulous Unicorn Of Sugar Town Candy Fudge.”
The story of Cheyenne Cinnamon And The Fantabulous Unicorn Of Sugar Town Candy Fudge revolves around a pop princess, being hailed as a Strawberry Shortcake pop princess, who comes to a Detroit, leaving her town, a wonderland full of candy houses and all the pink paraphernalia. Although she is sketched rather on the lines of some of the real life controversial pop princesses, she manages to solve many issues that plague Detroit, like teen pregnancy.

LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com) — The most popular and award-winning comic,The Boondocks is back once again. Now you can watch the new episode of your favorite adult animation on Adult Swim.
The series is produced by Rebel Base and has completed airing its second season. Season three being produced at JM Animation in Seoul, Korea is currently running.
The Boondocks is a social satire of American culture and race relations. The story revolves round the lives of Freeman family that consists of ten-year-old Huey, his younger brother, eight-year-old Riley, and their grandfather, Robert.
Viewers will find the Boondocks taking place in the same location and time frame as its comic counterpart. The Freeman family has moved from the South Side of Chicago, Illinois to the peaceful, fictional suburb of Woodcrest, Illinois. They find different way out to cope with a totally new suburban culture. The mixture of cultures, lifestyles, races add much of the comedy in this series.
