Give yourself a long big hug.
You deserve it. It’s been a long premiere season of ups and downs, and this last show is a warm embrace that — let’s face it — you just don’t want to let go.
With Regionals on the line, will New Directions win (or place) and save its program from extinction?
It doesn’t help that one of the judges for the competition is the world-renowned cheerleading coach Sue Sylvester, whose main agenda is to “crush the Glee Club.”
Will Schue is furious. But he can’t do anything about it. He seeks some adult solace with Emma, whose biggest news is that she’s been seeing her oral hygienist and that they haven’t done the dirty deed yet. She does remind him of the happiest moment of his life. (No, it wasn’t that kiss).
Next thing you know, he stops his car in the middle of a highway, listens to a song on the radio and has an NPR moment, holding back the ’80s tears. He smiles. He knows what to do.
The kids, meanwhile, worry that all their hard work will be all for nothing. They soon get inspired, though, by Mr. Schue’s theme for Regionals: Journey. The band and the method of their success.
With Josh Groban and Olivia Newton-John in the audience, they break out an infectious medley of “Journey” songs. From the dramatically romantic duet of “Faithfully” between Rachel and Finn, and the exuberant mix of “Any Way You Want It” and “Lovin’ Touchin’ Squeezin,’” to the nerve-tingling golden finish (with key change) of “Don’t Stop Believin,’” it’s a powerful potion of raw talent and pure heart. You realize just how incredibly far this ragtag bunch has come with their sanguine expectations and personal struggles.
They get off stage, where waiting there is Quinn’s mom, who tells her that she was proud of her and that she kicked out her dad, whom she found out had cheated on her with a tattooed freak. Quinn replies: “My water just broke.”
All hell breaks loose. Most of Glee, except Rachel, rush Quinn to the hospital, as rival Vocal Adrenaline perform a standout cover of Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody.” And it wasn’t just a snippet, either; it was the whole 6 minutes or so. Led by a magnetic Jesse St. James, the show-choir group delivers an outstanding performance with breathtaking lifts, intricate choreography, risky yet nuanced movements and edgy sensuality.But even as the Glee club prepared to disband, Sue intervened, calling in her last blackmail chit with Principal Figgins (Igbal Theba) to give the club another year to prove itself.
As she told a bewildered Will, the thought of not having him around to belittle bothered her. “A world where I could’nt make fun of you for tearing up more than Michael Landon in a sweeps episode of ‘Little House on the Prairie?’ I relish the thought of another year of constantly beating you.”
mortal kombat rebirth

Just under eight minutes of something related to Mortal Kombat has been posted on YouTube. The video features Jax — sans cybernetic arms — grilling a mysterious perp in a police station. Through some (laborious) exposition, he describes new humanized (and gross) versions of Reptile and Baraka, along with Johnny Cage and a young, beardless Shang Tsung.
At first glance, one might assume it’s footage from the new, possibly derailed Mortal Kombat movie. Another possibility, given the video’s proximity to E3 and its introductory nature, is that this is a tease for the next Mortal Kombat game. Furthermore, the name of the newly created YouTube account is MortalKombatRebirth, which sounds like a perfectly suitable title for a new entry in the series. A third and altogether frightening possibility: This is all a prelude to a new movie / game tie-in.
We know Warner Bros. is interested in the franchise, so it’s safe to assume something is on the horizon. We’ve contacted WBIE for more info. One way or another, it seems likely we’ll hear more by next week.I guarantee that the tone of the short differs from anything you’ve ever seen out of the “Mortal Kombat” universe. There’s some “Saw” in here for sure, that gory, grainy feel, like you need to take a bath after watching it. It’s dead serious and pretty in-your-face with the gore. Also, it’s great. I have no idea if it’s pegged to a movie or a video game or if it’s just a standalone piece of awesome tape — we’ve reached out to Warner Bros. for comment — but I would guess that it is definitely not fan-produced. iewing: “Lie to Me,” “The Good Guys,” “Last Comic Standing,” “The Green Room”
Plowing through some of tonight’s new fare, and a look ahead at one show later this week, after the jump. …
I generally like “Lie to Me,” and next week’s episode is OK, but tonight’s is overall somewhat disappointing. It matches Lightman against a brilliant young villain (“Veronica Mars’ ” Jason Dohring); the resulting cat-and-mouse game is ably handled by the actors but not much in terms of script. I expect better from the show.
I did not like the sneak-previewed episode of “The Good Guys,” and the ratings were bad enough to start speculation that this series might not make it to Fox’s fall lineup, even though it is slotted in. Tonight’s episode is an improvement over the earlier one. Bradley Whitford is much funnier (although he has to get past the constant references to “computer machine”) and the somewhat convoluted plot allows for more amusement. I am not yet a fan, and there are still overdone elements such as the time shifting, but this was just entertaining enough that I might check in again.
My problem with “Last Comic Standing” is the same as it has been for some time: The comics just aren’t that funny as a whole. Part of this is a function of presentation, which has them auditioning with a couple of jokes, and in some cases getting a chance to do a longer performance for a club audience. As the comments make clear in tonight’s show, a lot of the comics hold back their best material from the audition, saving it for the club show, and that makes for a lot of weak auditions. I’m a big fan of Last Comic Standing, though I’ll confess that last season gave me very few people to actually root for. As a former member of the standup comic community (I’m looking forward to see who ends up on-camera once the show’s trial period rolls through Dallas), I know firsthand how brutal, competitive, and political the standup world is: make no mistake, the people that get anywhere on this show are out for blood, and the drama behind the scenes has to rival the stunning backstabbery of Survivor’s most evil players.
Robbie Maddison jumps over 279ft ravine

ATHENS: Aussie daredevil Robbie Maddison has been taking to the skies again, this time leaping 279 feet across the Corinth Canal, Greece.
28-year-old Maddison made his jump across the Corinth Canal in Greece yesterday, by driving up a ramp at a speed of 77mph.
This launched his Honda 500 into the air and 85m over the massive drop, he then successfully landed at the other side.
Speaking after the jump the Aussie said: “This jump involved the highest consequences I have faced so far, so the first obstacle I had to overcome was my fear.”
“I am thrilled I managed to pull it off. As you know, there is only one opportunity to get it right.”
Maddison has previously done a backflip while jumping over Tower Bridge and broke the Guinness World Record with a jump of 322 feet.

If you or someone you know recently had a DUI (driving under the influence) also called DWI (driving while intoxicated) in some states, you likely face drivers license suspension. There are a variety of ways to get pulled over under suspicion, get the DUI , and to defend a DUI arrest. Let’s go over how you get the DUI.
First, it depends on how you and the officer handle the DUI. It varies depending on whether you refused a breath, urine, or blood test for alcohol; if your blood alcohol level was 0.08% or more; and if you have prior convictions for a DUI.
For instance, all states consider a second or third DUI offense cause for stiffer penalties. If you get pulled over frequently, you not only will get your drivers license suspended, but also face fines and potentially jail time. The worse it gets the worse the result.
If you refused a blood, urine, or breath alcohol test, many states have laws in place to punish you for that. This is called the “implied consent” law, where you are required by the police to take the test, and if you don’t you facelicense suspension in some cases, if not stiffer penalties. Usually you can expect an immediate drivers license suspension of 3-12 months, and other penalties. Also, even if you fought the case and won, the implied consent law allows for your license suspension to run its course.
How Do You Fight License Suspensions for DUI?
Fighting against DUI cases involves a variety of strategies. It’s best to immediately hire a DUI lawyer, as handling your own case rarely works out. If you cannot afford a professional DUI lawyer, ask the court to appoint a lawyer for you
Since the penalties for DUI violations are strict in every U.S. state, there are many strategies in fighting them. The prosecution makes it’s own case based on what happened, focusing on the fact you are the person being charged with driving a vehicle while “under the influence” of alcohol. You were drinking and driving, in other words.
The defense for DUI involves questioning the prosecutions case. You might argue you were in fact not driving the vehicle; it may have been parked and you had been drinking. In this case, you might be waiting in a store parking lot for your husband or wife, and the officer charges you.
If the officer had no “probable cause” for pulling you over, you can also fight that. You can challenge the arrest based on the facts the officer uses; if they seem to lack enough to be a DUI charge, it can help your case.
Another strategy involving the way the officer arrested you for a DUI is that if he or she did not give you a miranda warning–the classic “you have the right to remain silent” requirement all officers must use. If there was none, you can fight on that fact.
Fighting License Suspensions
Beyond fines and jail time, you often lose your license for 3-12 months for a DUI arrest, often more after a second and third arrest. Since it can be difficult to get your license back in a short amount of time, fighting the case in court is even more important. However, the problem is that these cases are often hard to fight, as DUI arrests are very common and many judges are not lenient.
In any case, you should hire a professional DUI lawyer to fight for your rights. A DUI lawyer can help fight license suspensions or get your your license back.

Mixx News Reported Earlier Brad Pitt returning to his new family home and Angelina Jolie and their kids yesterday in France. Brad Pitt landed at Nice airport looking every bitt as scruffy as he has been since Halloween! We thought maybe the beard was just for fun and a costume thing, but then he wore it on the red carpet and now it looks like its here to stay, so we are hoping its for a movie role! No wonder Brad didn’t make the 2009 Hottest Man Alive list this year, looking like that! We hope he shaves it really soon, we miss seeing that amazing face of his!

Big Brother 11 HoH Winner

Last night’s “Big Brother” live show left us with a pseudo-endurance contest that ended after the broadcast. Details about HOH and the nominations after the jump.
Jeff has nominated Kevin and Natalie. On the surface, this may look like he is sticking to the plan that the Final Four is J&J, Russell and Michele. HOWEVA…
All afternoon he and Jordan have been talking about backdooring either Russell or Michele because they don’t trust them. I think this is the stupidest thing he could possibly do. Once again, it gives up the numbers advantage. Also, if that really IS his plan, he should’ve nominated one of them and left the other one off so that one of the people he wants gone is sure to leave.
I think it will be really interesting if he or Jordan win POV. If they’re smart, they’ll throw it and hope Natalie or Kevin win it (for their own plan). However, I hope Michele or Russell wins and leaves the nominations alone, thereby getting to cherry-pick who gets eliminated this week.
