ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani is appearing before the Supreme Court tomorrow (Thursday) on a contempt notice.
Members of parliament, federal ministers and coalition partners will accompany the prime minister to the apex court.
PPP provincial chiefs, chief ministers of Balochistan, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkwa and Gilgit Baltistan, and Azad Kashmir will also be with the PM Gilani.Â
Speaking to newsmen after Sindh Assembly session, Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah said Prime Minister also enjoys immunity like the President. But the Prime Minister will go to Supreme Court to show respect for courts.
Lawyers of Islamabad High Court (IHC) will also reach the Supreme Court to show solidarity with the bench.

Nato attack: case registered at Tarnol police station
ISLAMABAD: Case against unidentified miscreants involved in attacking Nato forces’ convoy of containers, has been registered at Tarnol Police station, Geo News reported Wednesday.
The case regarding attack on the containers of Nato forcers in the federal capital area of Sang Jani, has been registered against unidentified people at Tarnol Police station.
The case was based on clauses relating murder, murder attempt and terrorism.
Also, police arrested at least six suspected people from the Tarno.
It should be mentioned that at least eight people were killed and six others sustained injuries when a group of militants attacked a convoy in the federal capital area that was ready to take supplies for Nato forces fighting in Afghanistan.
Following the incident, red alert was announced in the twin cities amid strict security at entrances and exits of the cities.
Outflow rises in Attaabad Lake; heli service restored
HUNZA: The outflow has been increased and inflow decreases in Attaabad Lake whereas heli service for affectees has been restored.
According to official sources, the inflow of water in the lake has been decreased and contrarily increase in outflow has been recorded in the lake. The water level has been dropped to two inches because of the outflow and now the level is 374 feet. The water discharge is being recorded at Ganesh Bridge where the flow of water touches to 4760 cusecs.
Meanwhile, heli service has been restored in Hunza and Gilgit. Also, Gilgit-Hunza section opened for traffic from 7:00 am to 4: pm.
On the other hand, the supply of food to Altat and Karimabad relief camps is still suspended from Baitul Maal. The affectees demanded administration to provide ration so that they will arrange the food on self-service basis.
Aitzaz against inferring from judges remarks
ISLAMABAD: Senior lawyer and former President of Supreme Court Bar Aitzaz Ahsan said judges’ remarks should not be considered as final words.
Talking to media outside Supreme Court, Aitzaz said all referendums except one were controversial and court could not order for referendum as it depends upon government’s discretion. He said groups’ politics exists in Bar Councils.
