Hit Show “Two and a Half Men” on Hold

The hit comedy CBS series ‘Two and a Half Men’ is currently on hold. Charlie Sheen, one of the main stars of the show, is proving that his off screen life is not far from his character on the show. ‘Two and a Half Men’ is now on production hiatus, whilst Charlie Sheen is in rehab. Production of the show was halted last February for the same reasons.

“He is most grateful to all who have expressed their concern,” his rep said in a statement. “Mr. Sheen asks that his privacy be respected at this time and that no additional informational will be provided.”

Variety has reported that 16 out of 24 episodes of the latest season have already been shot. But CBS have rushed out and replaced “Men’s” time slot by ordering more episodes of other shows, such as ‘Rules of Engagement’.

The Chronicles of Narnia to create history

APML to issue anti-Nawaz charge sheet

LAHORE: The All Pakistan Muslim League (APML), in a tit-for-tat move, has decided to issue a 20-point charge sheet against PML-N chief Mian Nawaz Sharif.

On October 12, PML-N had issued a charge-sheet against former president Pervez Musharraf who had toppled its government 11 years ago on October 12, and called upon the government to bring him back to the country through Interpol to try him for his “misdeeds.”

According to sources, the anti-Nawaz charge sheet will contain allegations of financial and administrative mismanagement, nepotism, written-off loans and foreign properties.

Speaking to Trend Pk, APML leader Dr. Sher Afgan Niazi said that the charge sheet would highlight only those cases that had already been proven and that it would expose the real face of Nawaz Sharif. Trend Pk

PAC to summon Hajj DG Rao Shakeel

ISLAMABAD: The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) has decided to summon Rao Shakeel, the Director General of Hajj Operations (Mecca), for acquiring residential buildings in sheer violation of the given guidelines.

This decision was taken by the PAC Chairman Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan.

Secretary, Ministry of Religious Affairs, told the PAC that so far 87 residential buildings have been acquired on rent for stay of 30, 000 Hajj pilgrims.

He said that instead of 15 per cent, a 50 percent advance payment has already been made. SAMAA

UK Expels Israeli Diplomat Over Hammas Killing

Britain expels an Israeli diplomat on Tuesday to rebuke Israel for its alleged use of forged British passports in the assassination of a Hamas operative in a suspected Mossad hit, a UK government official said. Foreign Secretary David Miliband addressed Parliament over the issue, following an investigation into the use of 12 fake UK passports in the incident.

The Foreign Secretary has said there are “compelling reasons” to believe Israel is behind the cloned British passports used by the alleged killers of a Hamas official in Dubai.
David Miliband told MPs: “Given that this was a very sophisticated operation, in which high-quality forgeries were made, the Government judges it highly likely that the forgeries were made by a state intelligence service.

“Taking this together with other inquiries and the link to Israel established by the Serious Organised Crime Agency (Soca), we have concluded there are compelling reasons to believe Israel was responsible for the misuse of the British passports.”
Mr Miliband also confirmed a member of the Israeli embassy was being expelled from the UK at his request. Israel’s foreign ministry said it regretted the UK’s decision.
Mossad, Israel’s secret service, has widely been blamed for the murder of Mahmoud al Mabhouh in January. Dubai police investigating the case revealed some members of the suspected hit squad had travelled on British identities.

Their passports appeared to have been copied from real documents belonging to at least 12 Britons living in Israel.
Miliband added that the misuse of British passports was “intolerable” and said the Foreign Office would amend its travel advice to “alert other British nationals to the risks that their passports might be misused in the same way”.

Hamas said it welcomed the British Government’s decision to expel a diplomat and accused Israel of being a “practising terrorist state”.

Karachi Observes Strike Against Ashura Blast

KARACHI, Pakistan News: Pakistan’s commercial capital Karachi nearly shut down on Friday as religious and political leaders called a strike to protest against violence after a suicide bomber killed 43 people at a Ashura procession.

The streets of Karachi were nearly empty. The stock exchange was closed. Karachi Transport Ittihad, Muttahida Qaumi Movement, Jaffaria Alliance and several other political parties backed the strike call. The transport is completely off the road, however, private vehicles witnessed on the roads. All papers scheduled today have already been canceled.
