Suspected Islamic militant moved from police station

JAKARTA: Police in Indonesia on Tuesday transferred one of the country’s most wanted militants from the city of Solo in Central Java to the police detention centre in the capital, Jakarta.

Abu Tholut was arrested on Friday and is accused of plotting high-profile assassinations and bloody attacks on foreigners at luxury hotels in Jakarta.

He was captured without a fight during a pre-dawn raid on a home in Central Java province, a police spokesman said, adding that a handgun and several rounds of ammunition were also seized.

Four other men who police allege were part of the same militant group were transferred to Jakarta alongside Tholut.

Hideout busted, arms recovered from Hangu

HANGU: A militant hideout was busted today by security forces in Hangu district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. A large quantity of arms and ammunition were recovered.

Acting on an intelligence report, troops launched a search operation in Spin Thall Town of Hangu, recovering a cache of arms, ammunition and explosive material.

3 Suspected Terrorists Arrested: Kashmor

Pakistan News: Excise police have arrested three suspected terrorists near Kashmor on Monday.
Sources told that a van, bearing number PA 1384 coming from Peshawar to Sindh, was stopped by the excise police and searched at Dera Morr check post near Punjab-Sindh border. Heavy arms and ammunition were recovered from the van. Rocket launchers, Kalashnikovs, hand grenades and bullet proof jackets were also recovered from the possession of suspected terrorists. The arrested terrorists include driver Zahid Noor, Ahmad Ali and Jaan Wali.
