US launched winged robotic spacecraft

CAPE CANAVERAL: An unmanned Air Force space plane resembling a small space shuttle has been launched on its maiden voyage into orbit, carried aloft aboard an Atlas 5 rocket Thursday evening, the service announced.
The rocket carrying the reusable X-37B Orbital Test Vehicle lifted off at 7:52 p.m. EDT (2352 GMT) from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, an Air Force statement said.
It called the launch of the winged spacecraft a success, but released no immediate details of the mission”s progress. The space plane is to serve as a test platform for unspecified experiments and can stay in orbit for up to 270 days before gliding to an autonomous runway landing, the Air Force has said.
Strike in held Kashmir against death penalty to two Kashmiris

SRINAGAR: In occupied Kashmir, a complete strike is being observed, today, against the death sentence, awarded to the two Kashmiris by an Indian court in a fake case.
Call for the strike has been given by the APHC Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and veteran Kashmiri Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani. All the business centres and shopping malls are closed while the traffic is off the roads.
The occupation authorities have imposed undeclared curfew in several areas of Srinagar and banned people’s movement to prevent anti-India demonstrations. The troops have also cordoned off the exit and entry points of other town s and cities in the occupied territory.
Curfew imposed in Srinagar, Kashmir
ISLAMABAD: The puppet authorities in occupied Kashmir have imposed undeclared curfew in Srinagar and placed the APHC Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and other Hurriyet leaders including Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi, Fazl Haq Qureshi and Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai under house arrest.
The Hurriyet leaders were to lead anti-India demonstrations after Juma prayers.
Curfew imposed in Srinagar, Kashmir was first posted on February 27, 2009 at 6:18 pm.
