ISLAMABAD: At least 66 bodies of the plane crash victims have been identified and 52 were handed over to their families while many charred bodies are still kept at Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims) hospital for DNA test, ARY NEWS reports Thursday.

Nowshera blast toll mounts to 9

PESHAWAR: The death toll of Pabbi suicide blast has reached to nine when a sub inspector Ijaz Khan succumbed to injuries in a local hospital.

A suicide bomber blew up himself outside house of Khyber Pakhtunkhaw Information Minister Mian Iftikhar Hussain in Pabbi on Monday. Nine people including four policemen were killed in the blast.

Provincial Sports Minister KP Aqil Shah said chief minister Balochistan was also in the area few minutes before the blast. However, he was remained unhurt in the incident.

Floods cutoff Rajanpur from rest of country

RAJANPUR: The flood-hit areas of Rajanpur were left disconnected from rest of the country since seven days after torrential rains and floods cut off all the land routs.

Several people stranded as floodwaters still accumulated in towns and villages. DG Relief Riawan Baig told Geo News that at least 700 to 800 people are still stranded in floodwaters and 15,000 families became homeless.

He said Kharif crops cultivated at 17,000 acres have been destroyed, however, relief activities from government of Punjab underway. A committee is also constituted for the assessment of the losses.

IDPs Families Returning Home From Nowshehra

PAKISTAN, PESHAWAR: More than 200 families of Swat IDPs are returning home on Thursday from the Jalozai camp of Nowshehra.

Affectees have been provided the transport facility and one month ration as they were about to leave for home. There are still 24,656 people of 4,742 IDPs’ families in the same camp who are waiting to make their way home once the situation is completely under control.
