Harry Potter wins big at Teen Choice Awards

TrendPK.com: Another Teen Choice Awards show, another big night for the “Twilight” franchise.

“The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” took home four surfboards last night, including Choice Vampire for Robert Pattinson and Choice Movie Actor Sci-Fi/Fantasy for Taylor Lautner.

While Kristen Stewart didn’t grab a trophy on the evening, “Twilight” co-stars Kellan Lutz (Choice Movie Male Scene Stealer) and Ashley Greene (Choice Movie Female Scene Stealer) earned surfboards for their work on the “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” film.

“Twilight” has two last shots at grabbing trophies for the Teen Choice Awards, as “Breaking Dawn” will be broken into two separate films. That’s plenty of waves the “Twilight” stars can ride with all of those surfboards they are bringing home.

LOS ANGELES: Twilight star Ashley Greene and British actor Tom Felton of the Harry Potter fame are set to come together in a new horror movie.

Greene, who plays vampire Alice Cullen in the Twilight saga, will star opposite Felton in The Apparition for Joel Silver’s Dark Castle genre label, reported Variety online.

Felton, who stars as Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter franchise, will be playing an expert in the supernatural in the new film.

The story, said to be inspired by true events, is centered on a young couple haunted by a supernatural presence unleashed during a college experiment.

Production of the film has started last week. The Apparition has been written and is being directed by Todd Lincoln.

New Moon Bootleg Full Movie

New Moon” trailer, those high-falutin’ Volturi figures quite prominently into the storyline of the sequel. Of course, I have no idea if that’s the case in the book, since I’ve never read the books or even knew what a “Volturi” was until a couple of months ago. In any case, bootleg copies of the new “New Moon” trailer have found their way onto this newfangled thing you kids call the Internets, and you can check them out below.

After Bella recovers from the vampire attack that almost claimed her life, she looks to celebrate her birthday with Edward and his family. However, a minor accident during the festivities results in Bella’s blood being shed, a sight that proves too intense for the Cullens, who decide to leave the town of Forks, Washington for Bella and Edward’s sake. Initially heartbroken, Bella finds a form of comfort in reckless living, as well as an even-closer friendship with Jacob Black. Danger in different forms awaits.

Starring Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, Ashley Greene, Peter Facinelli, Elizabeth Reaser, Kellan Lutz, Nikki Reed, and Jackson Rathbone. Chris Weitz directs.

Ashley Greene is a rising young star, who will have her big break playing Alice Cullen in Twilight due out this winter 2008. Greene is a southern girl from Jacksonville, Florida, who moved to Los Angeles fresh out of high school to pursue an acting career. She broke into Hollywood with roles in popular television shows including Ashton Kutcher’s prank show Punk’d and Fox’s MADtv.

Ashley is a former model. She has done modeling work for Fenk Junk, Vision NYC, Sutra and been photographed by Carlos Armando for some campaigns. Her acting career started in 2006 when she guest starred on the television shows Crossing Jordan, playing Ann Rappaport opposite Jill Hennessy and Miguel Ferrer, and Shark, in which she was only seen in brief shots in the background – but bigger parts soon followed. Ashley got a regular gig on the soap Desire, but the series was cancelled after just one season.

Everything’s coming up Ashley Greene today! We may have a full-blown A-lister on our hands soon if she keeps up at this pace. I mean, it sure helps to have an international blockbuster under your belt, but nothing says “uber-famous” like having what’s under your belt go international.

Regarding Chace, a friend of the twosome says:

“Ashley and Chace have known each other for a while. They used to hook up actually back when he lived in L.A. It was never anything too serious. It was before either of them were famous. They stayed good friends.”

Avatar Awards

Joystiq tipsters  have noticed a strange Beta 2009 icon appearing on some Xbox 360 ‘Played Games’ profiles. While speculation (or hopes and dreams) was that the icon was related to something important, sources tell Joystiq that Microsoft is internally testing Avatar awards. Sorry, no megatons here.

From what we’ve been told, the test is an executable built for Beta users to play with the awards program before it launches. Avatar awards are triggered by in-game achievements: when a player unlocks an award — clothing was the only specific award mentioned — it is made available in the Avatar customization menu of the NXE. Select Xbox 360 users are already sporting fancy new threads, which are presumably related to this beta test.

Avatar awards were one of the many new features coming to the NXE revealed at E3 2009 — including the smart evil idea of charging users for the real “cool” stuff.
