Australia beats New Zealand by 12 runs
Australia won the second One Day International in the five match series and leveled the series 1-1. After winning the toss Australia elected to bat first and managed a reasonable total of 273 for seven wickets. Mike Hussey 56, Cameron White 54 and Haddin 53 were prominent Australian batsmen. Shane Bond and skipper Vettori bagged two wickets each.

New Zealand run chase was interrupted by rain and play was reduced to forty five overs and the target was reduced to 236 runs. Vettori resisted the Australian bowling attack and scored 70 runs. Michel Johnson managed to grab four Kiwi wickets.
The next match would be played on March 9 in Hamilton.

ADELAIDE: Australia beat Pakistan by 40 runs in third one dayer and won the ODI series as they had won the Test series.

Australia made 286 runs for eight wickets as Shaun Marsh and Michael Clarke made half-centuries before Michael Hussey exploded to guide the home side to formidable total.

Pakistan chasing the 287 runs target lost four top order wickets for 60 runs.  Umar Akmal 58 and Fawad Alam33, added 85 runs in fifth wicket partnership.

In 7th wicket stand Shahid Afridi 40 and Rana Naved 33, added 58 runs.

Pakistan was all out at 246 total 40 runs short of the Australian runs.

Aussies got the lead in the ODI series with 2-0 as the national team got all out at 127 score on 37.3 overs only.After winning the toss, Pakistan was elected to field first.Australia set a target of 268 for the Green Shirts.
Australian openers Shane Watson and Shone Marsh took their partnership to 100 runs with 69 and 41 score respectively. Skipper Ricky Ponting made 13, Clarke 25, Michael Hussey 29 and Cameron White 55. Shahid Afridi took two wickets while Muhammad Amir and Umar Gul each took a wicket. Earlier, Pakistan replaced Muhammad Asif with Umar Gul.

Nathan Hauritz took five wickets in the second innings as the visitors were dismissed for 139 in pursuit of 176 for victory.

Earlier, Australia was dismissed for 381 when Bollinger was the last man out.

Mike Hussey and tailender Peter Siddle shared a record-breaking 123-run partnership for the ninth wicket to give Australia fresh hope of victory.

Siddle was out for 38 soon after lunch with the score on 380. Bollinger followed his fellow paceman back to the pavilion after failing to trouble the scorers.

Hussey finished unbeaten on 134, while Siddle’s knock of 38 was his highest Test score.

The pair’s partnership beat the 83-run stand between Bob Massie and John Watkins for Australia’s ninth wicket against Pakistan in Sydney 37 years ago.

Pakistan started strongly in the chase, reaching 3/77 before Hauritz took two wickets in three balls, including a superb catch that may have saved his life.

The offspinner latched onto a Mohammed Yousuf missile, holding the catch despite the ball drawing blood.

He then dismissed Misbah-ul-Haq for a duck two balls later to put the Aussies in the box seat.

Australia made a good start to their tour of India, 292-8 ad on the first of seven ODIs against India.

India in deep trouble, having lost all six batters frontline. The loss of both openers in eight overs early was a blow to India. Sehwag on 13 by Brett Lee and Tendulkar out on 14 by Shane Watson.

Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli made 58 runs combined in the association, but part-time association Spinner Adam Voges gave a point when Kohli was conducted in 30 races.

Then Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni joined Gambhir at the crease. But just when it looked like India were taking the lead in the match, they lost the crucial window of Gautam Gambhir. Gambhir was low birth weight against the bowling of Mitchell Johnson, 68.

After losing Gambhir, India has suffered two crucial blows, losing the wicket of Suresh Raina and MS Dhoni. Raina was captured and shot by Mitchell Johnson and scored only 9 runs while Dhoni left soon after making 34 by Shane Watson.

From Australia captain Ricky Ponting won the toss and elected to bat in the opening day of a seven-game series against India.

Ricky Ponting and Tim Paine gave Australia a strong platform. Michael Hussey compiled an excellent 74-day-tickets from 54 balls as Australia fought against the Indians to send 292 to 8.
