Pakistan Steel Mills asks govt for Rs 10 billion bailout package

KARACHI: Pakistan Steel Mills officials have asked the government for Rs 10 billion bailout package as the company is facing huge crisis, TrendPK reported on Saturday.

During last three years, the Pakistan Steel has taken Rs 12 billion as debt, and its interest is increasing every year.

Sources told that due to non appointment of the chief executive, the company’s matters are not running in a smooth way. The board of revenues has sent a summary for appointment of the CEO a month ago. TrendPK

18 killed in suicide blast at UN building in Nigeria

ABUJA: A suicide bomb blast rocked the UN compound in the Nigerian capital Abuja on Friday, killing at least 18 people, blowing out much of the building and marking a sharp escalation in a wave of attacks.

The bomb went off after a suspect forced his way through two security gates and rammed the car into the building. The first two floors were blown out and rescue workers scrambled to help those left inside.

A man claiming to be a spokesman for the Nigerian sect known as Boko Haram claimed responsibility for the attack in a telephone call to AFP and threatened further violence. The veracity of his claims could not be confirmed.

“Through the wisdom of Allah, we have launched the attack with absolute precision,” the man who identified himself as Abu Darda said in the call. “The attack was carefully scripted and executed. We have said it several times that the UN is one of our prime targets.”

Boko Haram has been blamed for scores of bombings in recent months in Africa’s most populous nation and largest oil producer.

Such attacks, however, have not targeted international organisations, and Friday’s bomb marked a new level of audaciousness.

“So far, we have 18 dead,” Mike Zuokumor, police commissioner for the Federal Capital Territory told journalists.

At least 60 wounded were being treated at the national hospital, a radio report said. AGENCIES

Wanted hindi movie review and updates

Wanted hindi movie review, Wanted dead or alive,  hindi movie 2009 review. In this movie Salman Khan’ character name is Radhe and play’s as a sharpshooter, who works for Gani Bhai, the hardcore Mumbai Mafioso.The one liners of Salman Khan lack the punch. Action direction is simply excellent and cinematography is also wonderful. Prabhu Deva, who has turned his focus to direction from choreography, has proved that he can be a good director. He has made the right choice to enter Bollywood.

Prakash Raj, who is very famous for his negative roles in South India, has definitely excelled the expectations of his character. Even Govind Namdeo has done justice as the Commissioner. But Vinod Khanna fails to create any impact, whereas others have done decent job.The final scenes of the movie share a close resemblance with the fight sequences of ‘Ghajini’.
