celine dion

CELINE DION may be over the moon about being pregnant with twins, but it hasn’t been easy.
Some mums-to-be revel in their pregnancy glow, but for Celine Dion the six gruelling courses of in-vitro fertilisation (IVF) she had in order to conceive were “physically and emotionally exhausting”.
She said: “I feel like I’ve been pregnant more than a year. I never gave up. But I can tell you that it was physically and mentally exhausting.”
The 42-year-old singer – who already has a nine-year-old son Rene-Charles with husband Rene Angelil – says she will follow her doctor’s advice to make to ensure the healthy arrival of her babies, who are due in November.
She told newspaper Le Journal de Montreal: “I do almost nothing. If you tell me I have to stay in bed, I will stay in bed until November, when the babies are born. To bring them into the world, there’s nothing more important than that.”

After an agonising wait to have more children, Celine admits she was living on her nerves every time they visited medical experts.
Dion and husband Rene Angelil finally conceived their twins after five failed in-vitro fertilization attempts. Dion admitted to Oprah Winfrey last year that one of those attempts resulted in a miscarriage.

“I never gave up,” Dion says. “But I can tell you that it was physically and mentally exhausting.”
Angelil, 58, adds, “Everyone knows that Celine has guts and is determined. These treatments were truly hard on my wife’s body. It wasn’t simple at all.”
For her sixth IVF attempt, the singer spent a month and a half in New York and also tried acupuncture, Dion’s rep told UsMagazine.com.
The singer, 42, is pregnant with twins after undergoing her sixth in-vitro fertilization attempt and turning to acupuncture to improve her chances of a pregnancy, her rep Kim Jakwerth confirms.
The singer says it was incredibly stressful to wait to see if the pregnancy would stick this time.
“My doctors had to constantly reassure me. I [wanted] to see the babies,” she says. “Each week I had sonograms. I heard their heartbeats.”
When the couple finally got the news that twins were on the way, “There were truly great emotions,” says the singer.
Now, Dion will do whatever it takes to keep the babies healthy.
“It’s stressful but I’m relaxing. I look at my little belly. I do almost nothing,” she says. “If you tell me I have to stay in bed, I will stay in bed until November, when the babies are born. To bring them into the world, there’s nothing more important than that. It’s incredible.”
The twins are due to join brother Rene-Charles, 9, in November.
“We will have a beautiful family nest full of love,” says Dion.
Celine and her husband Rene Angelil already have one son Rene Charles, who is nine.
“Here I was thinking about soon learning the sex of the two. Now I’m trying to hold it down to four. I need to talk with that Octomom!”
“Poor Rene, he hit the floor as soon as I told him four.”
march of dimes walk

About $40,000 was raised through Saturday’s “March for Babies” in Mount Airy, but just as important, the event provided a reminder of the constant need to combat problems that can impact their lives before birth.
An estimated 350 walkers gathered at Veterans Memorial Park, and shortly after 10 p.m. began a 3.5-mile trek along West Lebanon Street which wound its way along several other city streets and the Emily B. Taylor Greenway.
The gathering sponsored by the March of Dimes included mothers pushing baby carriages and victims of birth defects who were there in wheelchairs.
“The walk is a celebration,” explained Debbi Patterson, March of Dimes coordinator for this area, who said she was pleased with the turnout for Saturday’s march that was part of a nationwide campaign.
Money was raised through the efforts of 50 to 60 teams made up of local families, companies, medical offices and other agencies, many wearing distinctive T-shirts to highlight their groups.
The funds were raised through individual team activities such as bake sales and car washes, Patterson explained. “Some of the companies matched,” she added of cases in which they made extra donations based on what their employees generated.
While Saturday represented a time of celebration, it also focused on the tragedies that accompany birth defects, premature births and infant mortality. This weighed heavily on the mind of one walker in particular, Misty Quesinberry of Mount Airy.
“I just found out I was pregnant,” Quesinberry said as she trudged through a city neighborhood during the walk.

“And I’m going to be the grandpa,” said Benny Bowman, who was accompanying Quesinberry. She explained that expecting her own child has broadened her perspective about the need to give children a good start in life, as well as concern for couples who have experienced problems.
That includes Kevin and Jodi Tarkovich of Cornelius and their relatives, who formed the “ambassador family” that led Saturday’s march. The couple’s son Drew was born 15 weeks’ premature on March 29, 2008, but lived for only 12 minutes, the couple told the crowd before Saturday’s march.
While a few participants jogged during the event, most formed a tightly knit group that meandered its way along streets near the park with the help of city police and firemen and the Mount Airy Rescue Squad.
At the tail end of the marchers were Sarah Hawks and Katie Riggs, members of the Mount Airy Junior Woman’s Club. But the pair had a good reason for being a little slower that the rest, since they were pushing wheelchairs containing two girls.
Reborn Sabrina Donnelly Phil’s Clay Babies
The dolls are then sold to buyers around the world. Typical buyers request a recreation of their own newborn as a long-term memento, but others use it for more therapeutic needs. Some fashion themselves as adoptive mothers, going so far as to place the reborn doll into a pram or placing it in a specially created nursery.
Sometimes called ‘living dolls’, ‘unliving dolls’, and reborn babies, these are the creations of people that spend hours turning a standard doll into a lifelike baby. If you are not familiar with reborn baby dolls, then don’t worry as there is plenty of information on them available here. If you are wondering if some of the photo’s you seen while browsing this site are actually real babies then the chances are it is actually a reborn, which is a sign of a talented artist. There’s even been cases where police have broken into a car to rescue the baby left inside only to it was a reborn doll.
“I probably spend too much time on each one, but I really enjoy every moment of it. It’s all about creating one of a kind, not churning them out on a conveyor belt. Besides, I’m the mum of three boys, so I love getting the chance to go out shopping for tiny baby girl clothes.”
Welcome to the Reborn Doll House – where dolls come to life. If you love reborn dolls, or perhaps have never seen them before, you’re in for a treat as the days of fake looking dolls are over my friend. Here you will find the best information, videos and selection of reborn baby dolls, clothing and supplies.
In addition, reborn dolls don’t just look like real babies, they also feel real as their bodies are stuffed and weighted to have the same weight and feel of a live baby. Mohair is normally used for the hair and the better dolls have the hair rooted in the head strand by strand. The remarkable degree of realism is achieved by artists that put in many hours of labor and love into the final creation of these beautiful dolls.

Caitlin Upton, Miss Teen South Carolina, Learns Where Babies Come From :-
The good news? She has a sense of humor about herself. At the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards Upton performed a parody of her infamous pageant answer, and now the beauty queen turned model is learning where babies come from for the benefit of the “Jimmy Kimmel Live” audience. After doing her due diligence on natural child birth, Caitlin sits down with Octomom in the second video to talk about IVF. It’s a pretty weird combo.

Pink Toed Tarantula

Pink Toed Tarantula, There’s a lot of searching going on for information about the pink toed tarantula.
Simply put it’s a species of tarantula which, when adult, has pink feet: there, bet you couldn’t guess that from the name!
Actually, if looks very cute (if you’re into spiders that is) and the babies are even more so: the colouration reverses as they mature. So the baby ones are pink all over but with dark little toes.
The reason they’re so popular as pets is that they’re very calm and rarely attack. They cannot, unlike many other species of tarantula, shoot their hairs into things, although the hairs on their abdomen can cause irritation and an allergic reaction if you happen to be allergic to them.
Much of the searching going on is for “pink toed tarantula bite” and one would assume that someone’s woried about having been bitten. In humans this isn’t a problem: about equivalent to a wasp sting.
Although do note, there are humans who are sufficiently allergic to wasp stings (so called anaphylactic shock) that one can kill them. So while the pink toed tarantula is not dangerous, just irritating, to most of us, this isn’t true for everyone.
If you’d like to see why people keep pink toed tarantulas as pets, watch this video of one dining.
